As 2021 ended, I reflected on what the year brought. Every year has its ups and downs, of course, but
the important thing is to work toward making improvements in ourselves and others – even at work.
After all, companies are just a group of people. I like to visualize this with Your Life in Weeks from this blog by Tim Urban; it provides a great reminder to step back from the day to day and see the bigger picture.
At CompassMSP, one of our core values is to ‘make the world a better place’. We’ve recently concluded a fundraiser for Mo-vember which is an obvious step towards that, but there’s plenty of actions we take daily with our clients and teammates to live this value as well. We’ve tracked clients with the number of ticket/service requests per month, witnessing a steady decrease all year because of the amazing, proactive effort our team puts into reducing issues.
Our professional services team has done hundreds of upgrades; bringing new capabilities and speed to clients’ networks. Our team has also been properly re-active, providing a caring ear to listen to and understand problems and resolve them with accuracy, speed, and skill. Our vCIO’s have helped clients plan for new technologies and track of the necessary changes in these environments. Our central services team has patched, managed, monitored and backed-up systems across our entire client base. Our compliance and security team continues to stay up to date and act on the never-ending cybersecurity threats while helping clients achieve new compliance levels to propel their business forward.
Better IT = Better Lives
Each one of these items has helped eliminate frustration from and towards IT; as we all know, there are few things more frustrating than when technology doesn’t work. At CompassMSP, we believe Better IT makes Better Lives and, through our daily actions, we’re making the world a better place. I hope you all share in this celebration of better IT making the world a better place as we head into a new year where technology is sure to be pivotal.
